Thanks for the telemark demo. Well done!

A word about nomenclature for CANSI to consider. At 1:14 in the vid, a turn is described as a telemark Christie. Let’s consider that term.

Back in Norheim’s day, the turn in which the leading ski is the downhill ski (the telemark turn) was named after Telemark, and the turn in which the leading ski is the uphill ski (the christie turn) was named after Christiana (now Oslo).

Each of those turns can be stemmed, giving us the stem-telemark turn and the stem-christie turn, or they can be made in parallel, giving us the parallel-telemark turn and the parallel-christie turn.

The turn at 1:14 is a stem-telemark turn, not a telemark-christie turn.
