Slopeside Ski Reviews – Volkl RTM 81 2014/15

This review was filmed in May 2014 with staff from Ellis Brigham stores across the UK who were in Hinterux, Tirol, Austria to test 2014/15 skis in ideal conditions.

Volkl kept their DNA but ignored the rule book with the RTM 81, creating a monster of an all-mountain carver. A firm flex is guaranteed by the wood and steel in a burly construction of Dual XTD Transmission Sidewall. Strip the complicated terms out and this means power, grip and speed on hard pack. Full low rocker adds a whole level of all-terrain ability and control at any speed.

Tester Comments: Steve (Buying Team) ‘A powerful all-mountain ski with plenty of grip. Full rocker really does smooth out rougher conditions.’
