The new Volkl racetiger with raceplate and race binding is a great new addition to the Volkl lineup. Check out my thoughts in this review.

Reilly ..As a bigger guy 225lbs PSIA level III do you feel the race plate version would fit me better than the one without. I was not able to make it to the ski tests due to illness.

Josh Gordon says:

Made in China?

Zoran Stary says:

I think that this bindings and a plate are overkilling for an average skier. I have the same (white) on my slalom race skis and they are way to heavy for all day skiing.

Benzknees says:

Is it actually made in Germany? I thought Volkl skis were made in China, since the US Jarden conglomerate took them over.

Bulmer says:

What RRP are we looking at here Reilly? Any price changes on length? I’ve seen some advanced pricing on 17/18 HEAD skis but it would be nice to compare costs. Cheers!

Kyle Hunter says:

how would the wc stock compare?

Kaloyan Bankov says:

I have always skied on 185+ skies, I am thinking to buy these and improve my short turns. I am just not sure if they will be long enough for me, I am 192cm and 200 pounds.

Jonathan Karlen says:

How does the recreational race tiger ski compare with the Volkl Code skis?

Japan Meets Code says:

Nice, I’ve been looking for a groomer ski that wont break the bank. Do you think this ski would be the right one to train on for exams?. On a side note where are you headed for the Aussie winter?, loved project kitz helped me pass some exams, keep up the good work cheers.

kerry willis says:

Hey Reilly, not specific to those skis but what would you suggest as far as a ski for someone quite light? Currently using the volkl RTM 84 but wondering if they’re too stiff for me being only 64kg?

Bruce Jackson says:

Hi Reilly, Thanks for the great review! Question if I may… I’m 6′ and only 160 lbs. Hard charging skier. Would you recommend the new Volkl recreation slalom with the race plate, or without? I’m thinking 160cm. considering I’m a lighter guy. Does the race plate version alter the way the ski works in softer snow, as well as hard snow? Is the ski as versatile with the race plate, as without? Thank you for considering my questions. ~Bruce~

Arnold Rimmer says:

Are you basically saying the racetigers got back?

Andrew Nash says:

i will take a pair thanks – can you hook me up ?
