Alpine Touring Bindings Basics

Alpine Touring Bindings (which are sometimes referred to as AT or Randonnee bindings) are designed to provide the performance of a traditional alpine ski binding on the way down, but they allow your heels to lift naturally on the way up. When used with climbing skins, AT ski boots, and proper technique, Alpine Touring bindings allow you to efficiently access backcountry terrain.
