2018 SKI TESTS – Best Men’s Piste Skis, sponsored by Snow+Rock

Sponsored by Snow+Rock – https://www.snowandrock.com/c/ski/equipment/skis.html

Piste skis tend to be narrow underfoot (70 to 75mm), which means they grip on firm snow but are less easy to handle in powder. Ideal for holiday skiers looking for good performance on ice, bumps, groomed and all round firm snow.

This year we were most impressed by:
Head Supershape i.Magnum – Top Performer
Nordica Dobermann Spitfire Ti Evo – Top performer
Rossignol Pursuit 700 Ti – Top performer

Arnau Vizcarra Miserachs says:

It would be nice to know what are you guys comparing this skis to because if talking on piste skis I would prefer the Rossignol Hero Elite LT Ti than the Pursuit 700… You guys should say: okei we have these skis to test and the best ones tested are this 3 and why. In my opinion there are better 2018 on piste skis than the ones you’ve mentioned like the Stockli Laser SC or the Dynastar Speed zone 10 TI.

I got the Nordica last year. Amazing ski. Not the best looking skis but great performance on piste as well as being easy to use when with the family.

Ricky D says:

United broke my bindings, so I rented the Head Supershape on my trip to Colorado. It is a great carver on greens and blues.  BUT, think about it, if you turn a massively parabolic ski sideways on steeps, or to slow down, the contact points are now on the tip and tail. This causes you to look like dufus. So, if you like steep groomer  terrain buy a slalom ski instead.  Buy this ski if you want  a good cruiser, but not for me.
